🌱 Together for a sustainable future: Easy2name is stepping forward!

At Easy2name, we believe that every step, no matter how small, counts towards sustainability. That's why we continuously work on making our products and processes more sustainable, without compromising the quality of our products. We want to take you, our valued customer, along with us on the initiatives we have implemented over the past year and the challenges we still want to overcome.

🌍 Our sustainable innovations

1. Smaller, smarter, and more efficient: 15% less material use By shrinking our labels by 15%, we save significantly on material use, without sacrificing functionality or design.
2. Paper sleeves instead of plastic bags We replaced 1.2 million plastic bags with environmentally friendly paper sleeves. A small change with a big impact on plastic reduction! We also include the exact same products in one instruction sleeve. This saves >10% on instruction sleeves.
3. Green energy for a greener future Easy2name runs entirely on 100% green wind energy. What's more, we generate 20% of our energy ourselves with solar panels. Although our roof unfortunately isn't strong enough for more panels, we continually look for ways to become even more self-sufficient.
4. Waste reduction through innovation By positioning our sheets more efficiently and introducing a new print method, we have reduced waste by 40% over three years.
5. More sustainability in our ink choice We use HP low migration inks instead of (Eco)solvent inks, which is better for people and the environment. Did you know that the 'Eco' in 'Eco-solvent inks' stands for economic, not ecological? This is misleading, and we don't buy into it. We've invested in the best equipment to ensure that we can produce safe and sustainable labels.

🔍 Future-focused Challenges

Although we are working hard on recyclable labels, we have not yet found an alternative that meets our high-quality standards. Our labels are dishwasher-proof and thus very durable. Unfortunately, this is at odds with biodegradability. We continue undeterred in our search for the right solution. We test multiple materials every day, just like at your home, in our dishwashers. ✔️ Less use of vinyl: By removing the headers of our label sheets, we save 20% on vinyl.
✔️ A modern, gas-free building: Our building is completely gas-free, well insulated and ready for a sustainable future.
✔️ Waste separation and recycling: We take pride in separating all our waste and ensuring optimal recycling.

🌎 Our products make a difference Did you know that our labels contribute to the recovery of more than 1 million products per year? This prevents valuable items from ending up in the bin, or after a few years in a lost property box, from going away. Moreover, we encourage re-use with our lunch boxes and drinking bottles, reducing the use of disposable bottles and bags.

We are testing with biologically degradable stickers

At Easy2name, we actively explore new, more sustainable materials. We are also testing with biologically degradable stickers. This is challenging, as two important properties sometimes contradict each other: biodegradable material dissolves faster, while our stickers need to last for years and should be dishwasher or washing machine resistant.

Yet, we deem it important to continue pursuing this development. We test, improve and search together with suppliers for solutions that are both durable and strong. In this way, we continue to make gradual progress in developing products that are better for the world and suitable for daily use by families.
